If you are new to Lee-sensei’s Japanese classes – this is where there’s a link to email the Sensei, the  list of daily homework, study resources, and more are posted. This is here for you to check daily. Please bookmark it.

Teams will be used for ‘Word of the Day”, messages to/from the class, public questions for the Sensei and, sometimes, handing in things.You are expected to check this daily.

THURSDAY CLASS WORK

1) Hand in the hiragana homework

2) Unit book work

  • page 25 – complete entire page
  •  page 17 – task 1 – write the names in hiragana
  • page 20 – task 3 – write the names in hiragana

3) Folder – get your folder and work on it during class. You may use the Sharpies to outline and the markers to colour. Do NOT use the Sharpies to colour (they are Sensei’s personal ones)

Unit book page 21 – listen to the audio of the words and WRITE the word NEXT to the picture

THURSDAY CLASS WORK

1) KATAKANA REVIEW – test your partner: Get the cards and test your partner – Each of you put one down and see if the other can say it. Take your time and go slowly. THEN find one more partner and do again

2) STORY

  • get a copy of the vocabulary for the story (also here hachi vocabulary )
  • if you are reading online the story is here Hachiko (you may have to change the view)
  • ask for a paper copy  of the story if you want it
  • Audio is below – use it!
