MONDAY/THURSDAY GROUP FOR: MONDAY JUNE 14 – there are 4 things to prepare

1. Learning Check – another 2 part learning check..

2. Update your sentences – Add 1 more followup question/answer and then….make 2 changes (minimum) per sentence group. Ideas?

  • add intensifiers
  • a reason
  • different describing words beside たのしい (look at page 25!)
  • a reason…
  • more ideas here – from class jazz up your sentences

3. Unit book page 52 – pick any 4 people and below the pictures (same page) make notes about what you learn in English (point form) チャット= internet chat

4. Unit book page 57 – read the two profiles and make notes on what you learn – here is a larger version of the text  task 20 larger print

5. Unit book page 55 – Listening (audio below) – you may not get it all…I’m curious to see what you do get!

WHAT IS DUE FOR FRIDAY – A COMPLETE LIST: JUNE 9 CHECKLIST FOR WORK FOR NEXT CLASS

Here is today’s “action word/verb” handout (a copy of the bright pink sheet) basic verbs end of 9 handout

  1. Page 59 – based on the picture write what they do in their free time ひまなとき。。。notes from class today and p14/15 of unit book can help. りょうり cooking  おんがく music てがみ letter  パーテイー(ぱーていー)party
  2. Quizlet – practice those new action words –
    1. do the “japanese/english” two times using this link
    2. Then do matching 2 times and use this link to tell me your two times.
  3. Page 59 – Task 8 – listen  and fill in what you can (audio above)
  4. Page 56 – Task 15 (audio above)
  5. Page 71-73 – Story!!! – Someone is looking for helpers to build a campfire – so she asks people what their hobby is しゅみは 何ですか。 And which sports they do どんな スポーツを しますか。
    1. たいへん terrible  しゅみ hobby できます can do すてき great  よかったwas good  しんじられない unbelievable
    2. Listen to the audio (above) and read along – then answer Q’s 1-5 on page 73 in your book!
  6. Using page 51 as a guide – write the 2 DIFFERENT NOTES that no one wants to get.  Choose the Meet or Fully Meet option. Use of translator will result in your piece not being marked. TO HAND IN!!!   To a person PERSONへ   From a person PERSONから  (go on a date デート(でーと)に いきます。 Have a date with a person  (PERSON)と デートをします。
    • Meet: 3-4 sentences total. DOES NOT USE TRANSLATOR – USES UNIT BOOK/PREVIOUS ITEMS.
